"Pillars of Creation" Nebula: A Dual Name Revelation

The famous nebula known as the "Pillars of Creation" has an intriguing alter ego - "Pillars of Destruction."

Named for its role in star formation due to the gas and dust it contains, this celestial structure is not immortal. About 10% of its mass will give birth to new stars, while the remaining 90% will face destruction from heated clouds or dispersion by solar winds from the emerging stars. This dual destiny has earned it the ominous moniker - "Pillars of Destruction."
