The World's Second Strongest Army Revealed

According to the Global Firepower Index 2025, the world's second strongest army after the US is slightly weaker than the US. This army has around 1.3 million soldiers, making it slightly stronger than China, which boasts around 2 million soldiers. India, ranked fourth, noticeably lags behind the top three, with South Korea unexpectedly taking fifth place and significantly trailing India.

The ranking unveils some surprises: Ukraine falls behind Algeria and Egypt, while North Korea secures 34th place. Despite facing internal issues like hyperinflation, Argentina, with an army thirteen times smaller than North Korea, holds the 33rd place in the ranking.
