Dozens of individuals, including 23 priests, have been identified as accused or suspected of sexually abusing minors in the Sosnowiec Diocese of the Catholic Church in Poland. Other offenders include a youth group leader, an organist, and a catechist.
The special commission revealed that out of the 29 identified individuals, seven have been punished for their crimes, four are deceased, legal proceedings are ongoing for three, and ten cases are currently under investigation. A total of 50 minors who have been victims of sexual abuse were identified, with the majority being children under 15 years old, and 66 percent of the victims are girls.
