Iran has acquired a functional DIRCM system to protect American aircraft from heat-seeking missiles, as reported by Iranian media. The system was obtained from one of two American C-130s lost during a mission to locate F-15E pilots.

The newly acquired defense system is specifically designed to counter infrared-guided missiles, akin to the Russian L-370 "Vitebsk." By studying the American DIRCM, Iran aims to replicate the technology or devise effective countermeasures against it.
