Regarding the level of individualism, a study positions us 49th out of 102 countries globally, placing us between Greece (slightly more individualistic) and Belarus (slightly more collectivistic). Surprisingly, China is notably individualistic, surpassing us and some Eastern European countries.
The most individualistic countries are in Scandinavia: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland lead the list, with the Netherlands following closely. Wealthier countries tend to be more individualistic, with significant overlap between the wealthiest nations and the most individualistic ones.
The most collectivistic countries are primarily found in the less affluent regions of Asia, including Myanmar, Egypt, Bangladesh, Jordan, and Yemen.
